I've been running your Aussie Locker in the front Dana 30 of my Jeep XJ for a few months now, and I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how pleased I've been with it. I attached some pics of my rig wheeling with the locker. I've been pretty rough on it, and it hasen't let me down yet--and I don't see it letting me down in the future. I've got a few of my wheeling buddies convinced, and they're getting Aussies as well.
Kudos,
Nick

Attached my 04 TJ with a front aussie locker. Soon to come 4.56 gears and a rear locker. Thanks again.

I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for a great product. My install went over great and the results are astounding. I've been into wheeling for a long time now and this is by far the best behaved locker I have dealt with. I could tell right out of the box the quality and effort put into this part and feel good knowing it is in there doing it's job. It locks up when I drop it in 4 and lock the hub and unlocks beautifully when cornering those tight trail turns. Even when unlocking and ratcheting the noise is barely audible unless you are really cranking the wheels and flipping the gas and clutch up and down. In fact I was worried it was not working the first time I took it out because I couldn't hear it! I ended up window down the window, turning the stereo off, gassing it into a full lock turn and pushing down the clutch to let the rpm's drop to idle in order to hear the clicking it was making, yes you were right, it is that quiet.

Overall I couldn't be happier with this unit. My rig goes anywhere I point the wheels, rock climbing and deep mud running no longer make me sweat as they did in the past. I feel good tromping the gas down and letting her rip threw obstacles if needed and quite frankly I am more worried about blowing an axle than your locker. If you ever come up with a section on your page for testimonials feel free to throw this (or request one from me) to add to it. I have and always will give you guys two thumbs way up. I have bragged your name and product over all the on-line boards I visit and feel comfortable putting my reputation on the line with this product. I know for a fact 3 people I have recommended you to have purchased, and my own uncle ordered a front and rear for his Yota. Thanks again for the great product, quality is hard to find these days. Keep up the good work!

Hey Bill! This is Mike A. I bought a locker from you last year for my 1994 Jeep. This locker has got to be the best I've ever seen. Many of my Jeeping buddies run Aussies and we love them! We've been trail riding through some pretty rough stuff and never have a problem getting where we want to be. I'm emailing to ask you if you could please send me another sticker for my Jeep. The original that I received with my locker has peeled over the winter here in Michigan and I just HAVE to let everyone know what I'm running! If you could please send me one, that would be awesome. Thanks again for such an awesome product!

I just installed an Aussie Locker in the rear of my 1982 Toyota 4WD Pickup. I’d decided on a locker because this vehicle isn’t my daily and I wasn’t concerned about the usual side effects of a locker. I took my time during installation, recorded the recommended measurements, and completed the install. I use a Lucas 80/90 gear oil in the differential (claims to quiet gear noise). To my amazement, I cannot detect its operation on the street AT ALL. If I make a turn all the way to the lock and hang my head out the window, I hear some clicking. Not at all what others have described about typical lockers.

I think you have an excellent product. It is EXACTLY as described on your website and I would recommend it to anyone wanting the BEST traction offroad with the least “side effects”. I’ll be installing the front locker in the next few weeks (I ordered them together).

Thanks

I would like to read your 4x4 Wire Response. I bought two of your lockers and am very satisfied. I recommend them all the time. After a year and a half of use they show no wear at all, I just looked at them closely when I changed the oil in both diffs recently.
Thanks,
Pete

I recently installed a Aussie locker in the front dana 44 of my 78' blazer based tube buggy on 39.5 IROK's and I love it.

It has also held up to a couple inner shaft breaks already with no problems at all (I have Yukons shafts on order) It is smooth and quiet with no hint of driveline wind up or slop, Unless you get it stopped in a tight spot it steers almost as good as it did open diff, and if your steering does bind up due to driveline torque in a tricky spot (I need to get my Hydro assist installed), a simple application of a forward then reverse bump will unlock the unit allowing you to turn easily.

I also got the chance during my install to compare it to a brand new in the box lockrite locker (I had bought one cheap off a buddy for my YJ dana 30) the Aussie lockers quality of machine work is fantastic (The lockright had slop when you meshed the dry teeth together in your hand, the Aussie had absolutely NONE) This has convinced me and my friends that the Aussie is the only way to go for a lunch box style locker.

Thanks for the great product! I just put a locker in the front of my XJ, and what difference it makes! I always knew I wanted a locker, but thought I would have to wait a while because they were so expensive. Thanks for not charging an arm and a leg, and making a product simple enough for even me to install! I have a feeling I'm gonna get myself in trouble with all this ability my Jeep has now... Expect another purchase from me in the near future. I'm gonna have to put one in the back now, too! Thanks again!

To the nay-sayers:

I know people with LockRites have had problems with putting automatic lockers in a full floating axle. The nuts on the studs typically come loose after only a day of wheeling, and this could typically lead to stud failure should the axle back out enough as to not fully engage the hub dowels. Slop is bad. Keeping this in mind, I was rather apprehensive about putting my Aussie Locker in the back on my pig with a 60 FF. While my experience with two Aussies is that in my 55 they're rather smooth and have less ugly characteristics of their competitors, I still wasn't sure about the studs taking the constant abuse put on them by the locker. I pulled the aussie out of my semi floating differential and installed it in a tighter differential I had lying around. I rebuilt the hubs with parts from Cruiser Outfitters, and while I replaced some missing dowels(!), I kept the original studs, cone washers, washers, and nuts. I tightened it up with some anti-seize on the conewashers and some red locktight on the studs, and then slung it under the Pig.

750+ miles later I have not had to tighten one nut. They have held their toque just fine, and while that has included some easy highway miles, I've been out flogging the wagon through the Wyoming desert here when not working. Some of it's dirt and sand but there's still quite a bit of rock, and after 150 plus miles in the rough not a nut's loose.

I'm not sure if I would have put a lockrite or the no slip in a rear full floater, but the Aussie is great. Constant traction and no problems. I will put in an update if the locker and axle warrent it.

Hey Bill, my name is Casey Conley and I bought an Aussie Locker from you for my 71' Ford Bronco. I was having a little trouble with the install and you found out that I was sent the wrong part. After I got the right part back (thanks again by the way) the install was so easy. We went to Tellico this past weekend and man what a great locker. No worries, everything worked like it should and no ratcheting noises. Once again thanks for a great product and your personal help with everything.

Keep up the good work,

Casey

First let me thank you for taking the time to personally address my concerns when I ordered the front locker for my Cherokee a few weeks ago. Now let me thank you for the product!

It is everything you claimed, easy install (less than 2 hours including painting the diff. cover), quiet (with the windows rolled up I have to concentrate to hear it in parking lots, turn the radio on and it is literally undetectable) and full traction (I can finally follow the big dogs!)

This is with out a doubt, hands down the best money I have spent on my rig to date. I literally doubled my rigs capabilities in 2 hours for about $300.00 Can. I suspect you will be seeing several more orders from members of my club.

You mentioned that you would be shipping the Chrysler 8.25 29 spline in a few weeks. I want one ASAP, could you please send me one as soon as they arrive. Can you use my existing order info or do I need to give it to you again?

Thanks again for an awesome product and excellent customer service.

I order you an Aussie-locker a few month before. About 6 month before. It works very well in my Volvo 242 turbo. It´s made for Jeep dana30 front axle. But it fit in Volvo 200-series rear axle, because it is copy from dana´s axle.
In winter, when here is very much snow and ice, it was nice to drive when both rear tire spin. I don´t stay stuck in the snow once!
And in the summer it´s nice to burn out! Stupid, but funny as you see. :) Thank you very much, that you help me and send Aussie locker to me to Finland! I will reference this locker, if somebody look for a good locker in his Volvo or other car here in Finland.

Thank you Bill again.

'90 Jeep YJ sitting on '78 Cherokee drivetrain.
I have a modified AMC 401 matched to a TH400, and a BW1339 transfer case. I am running d44's front and back with 35" tires all around. As well I have 9" total lift including my SOA mod.
The most exciting of all mods is this great Aussie locker in the rear. I have 600km's on this upgrade now, and it has worked flawlessly on and off road. It is so exciting to head out to the mountains, I never thought it could be this enjoyable. As well I installed the locker all myself and I had 'never' seen the inside of a differential prior! Everything went smooth and fine, it was actually fun.
Thanks for your great product.

Hey Bill,
your welcome for the comments on pirate4x4. The lockers for my D44 and 8.8 work awesome. I can still steer and have awesome traction everywhere I go, and I go damn near everywhere. They were a breeze to install and stand up to absolute abuse. I recommend them to everyone who considers a traction aiding device. I attached some pics of my truck in random spots. You can pick whatever one you want for putting up on the site.
Thanks again!!

I purchased a Dana 30 locker from you last year and it is the best purchase I have made so far. The difference it makes is amazing, it makes climbing over stuff so much easier than with an open front diff. I will definately buy an Aussie for the rear if one becomes available.

I purchased a front D30 locker for my jeep a few months ago while doing a build up. Today, after months of work on my rig, I got to try it out. I wanted to thank you for putting out a great product at a great price. I was totally satisfied with it. Quiet, dependable, and very functional. Below are a few links to some pictures of my rig with the locker. Thanks again. Just another happy customer.

1996 Ford Bronco with 351w, 1978 Dana 44 Solid Axle Swap, Ford 8.8 Rear Axle, Custom 6" lift with Cage Offroad Radius Arms Custom Bumpers, but the best improvement yet? Aussie Lockers, front and rear! 100% traction off road and mild mannered on road, these lockers are the best available! Since i've purchased mine, my friends/family have bought 2 and love them. I can go almost anywhere in 2wd, but with 4wd squirrels beware! You may see my truck roaming about in trees thanks to Aussie lockers.

I bought an Aussie Locker for the front Dana 30 in my 94 Jeep YJ, 2.5L. So far the Aussie has performed awesome!

Before this Jeep, I never had a locker in any Jeep that I have owned. I was skeptical at first about putting a locker in the front. However, in 4WD I don't even realize the Aussie is there most of the time. The only time I have had to really pay attention is going around muddy corners, as with any locker. Ability to steer is affected way less than I thought it might be. The locker does have a bit of a centering effect, but that can actually be helpful in some instances.

Aussie Locker . . . easy installation . . . excellent traction . . . smooth/quiet operation . . . very reasonable price . . . customer service with answers to your questions . . . the Aussie Locker gets a lot of good feedback on the online forums as well.

By the way, I didn't know Broncos could climb trees- that picture is awesome!

I was the first to buy and install an Aussie Locker in Spain. I was so impressed that now some friends of mine have one too.

It has taken me through forests, mud, snow and also to the Sahara Desert in Morocco.

Now I'm going to SAS my truck, and guess which locker I'd be getting for the new axle? An Aussie Locker!

I recently installed an Aussie locker in the front of my '95 Wrangler, along with a Posi-Lok axle disconnect. This thing is just totally incredible! So far, I have not found a single hill, or place that I can't make it over or through. (Even though I will keep trying.) Great Product, and I will be recommending it to all my 4x4 friends.

Installed an Aussie Locker in my rear Dana 35 and a week later went to the Superlift ORV Park in Hot Springs, AR. What an improvement in performance! My '99 TJ has three inches of lift and 33" tires. I am completely satisfied! I had never opened a differential until your locker arrived. Installation was easy and operation is no less than any of your claims. Thank you!

I have installed your locker in the rear end of my truck. I drive a 1975 International Scout 2 with a Dana 44, this is also my every day driver. When I first got a "lunch box" locker I was concerned with its durability, sadly I went with a Detroit locker because of their name. I had it in my truck for about three days until I destroyed it my first time off road. I was upset and sent it back.

Then I heard of Aussie Locker and I wanted to give it a try because I didn’t want to spend the money on a true locker. It fit like a glove and the directions were clear and very easy to follow unlike the Detroit’s directions were. The Aussie unit is by far thicker and just feels like a higher quality material. When I got it all back together and the Scout rolling down the road again I decided to take it easy for the first day. The unit was a little loud it the clicking going around the corners and the unit locking up. It’s been about a month and it has gotten quieter and I have gotten used to driving it.

The ultimate test for me was when I took if off road two days after I put the unit in. It had rained the day before so the trail was muddy and slick. All I could say is WOW; I was able to climb hills that I could not climb before even with the trail dry. I was able to drive over anything I pointed the truck at. The unit worked so smoothly in 4-wheel drive, I was just very impressed. The trail I used to drive and challenge myself on has now become like a normal road to me. I am just very impressed with the quality of the Aussie unit and I have recommended it to all my friends, this is a quality unit and I cannot wait till I can install one in the front axle.

I wanted to submit a picture of my 1989 Toyota 4Runner. It has a 4" lift with 33" tires, 411 gears and it is powered by a 22RE. It has a roll cage and an 8000lb winch. Thankfully I don't need to use the winch much, due to the Aussie Lockers I have in both the front and rear axles.

Thanx for a great product!

I recently had the pleasure of buying and installing 3 aussie lockers in two jeeps, and the ease of installation was amazing the black jeep is a 1993 yj with a 4 banger and aussie lockers front and rear and the aussie made it a tank offroad with all new possibilities for getting really stuck due to the fact i can now go far more places then ever before, and i will definetly be trying all those places, the red jeep is a 1990 yj with an aussie in the rear and one planned for the front in the very near future and again its actually reffered to as the tiny tank for its offroad capability but now with the aussie in it we need a stronger nickname because the thing is an animal offroad, and both are extremely quite onroad even while cornering with only a very slightly audible clicking while cornering, bill was awesome with the help ordering and making sure we got the correct lockers and these things were a breeze installing and i plan on many more installs in the future as i am the owner operator of an offroad accessory shop and am pushing the aussie as the #1 choice for lockers to all my customers.........THANK YOU AUSSIE LOCKER

Sincerely,

Tom Wade(Owner operator, Driven custom suspension)

Just wanted to let you know I love the Aussie locker. I have a 1986 Jeep CJ7 that I use at a local dirt track.( Ohsweken speedway) as a push truck for sprint cars. I can't tell you the difference your locker has made. Here is a pic of my truck in action, that is Joey Saldana fron the World of Outlaws (car owner is Kasey Kayne). When I can afford it I will be locking the front also. Can't wait to go off roading with this.

Well I backed the Jeep onto a sheet of plywood to get off the bare, HOT, no shade New Mexico desert floor and proceeded to install the rear Aussie. In early April I had fallen, landing on left hip joint, twisting and bruising the thigh. So through the agony of it all I did, without any help, at age 90 install the rear locker. If anyone wants know if they are hard to install refer them to this dissertation.

About a month or so back you guys sent me some stickers to put on my truck and I replied letting you know I would be sending some photos when I got the locker installed. Finally got some time and tested the locker out on the trail! WOW!! Having never wheeled in a locked truck before was like wheeling on a whole new trail! You guys have a great product and awesome customer service. BTW my rig is a 1990 Dana 44 SASed Isuzu trooper on 35s with 5.38s. The locker really put the icing on the cake though. ;)
